Today’s ultralight snowshoes provide an effortless way to explore the winter landscape and the technique is easily learned by people of all ages. Some of Vermont’s best snowshoeing terrain is to be found in the rolling forests and meadows along the east side of the Valley and in the fields along the Mad River. Snowshoes can be rented at several locations.
